Alpenblow originated as a solo music act created by Jacob Raab, incorporating live jazz with a symphony of samples. Whether harnessing the power of the BOSS RC-505 loop station and additional effects to weave flugelhorn and trumpet in with an array of virtual instruments, or simply blowing over backing tracks in a cocktail jazz setting, Alpenblow provides live music for intimate settings and large gatherings in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. Jacob’s repertoire includes a wealth of tunes both familiar and obscure, and his horn is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Solo flugelhorn and trumpet played over backing tracks on a lightweight self-contained sound system. Small footprint for setup in bars and restaurants; excels as background music for 10-100 people, but scales to larger settings with additional equipment. Over 200 songs in rotation spanning a diverse spread of genres and time periods, with a focus on classic jazz and modern love songs.
